Exceptional circumstances of entering Slovakia with pets accompanying EU citizens returning from Russia
The State Veterinary and Food Administration of the Slovak Republic (SVFA) would proceed similarly as to Ukrainian refugees to receive such pets and authorise the non-commercial movement into the territory of the Slovak Republic of pet animals accompanying EU citizens returning from Russia which do not comply with the conditions of applicable legislation.
Such a citizens should contact the SVFA in order to specify the conditions for isolation of the pet animal at the place of destination/ place of stay as long as the appropriate conditions are met (microchip marking, valid rabies vaccination).
